A Whirlwind of News

I have to say, I don't keep up with news like I should, but I have been trying lately. One of the ways I have been doing this is to use Google Desktops RSS readers to keep news right on my desktop.

A really cool adaptation to the RSS feed reader though, has been released in Beta mode from MSNBC called Spectra. It actually takes the headlines from the content you choose and puts them in a cyclone flash applet.

I could describe it here,but just check it out yourself, it's pretty cool.

I have to say, I will miss XP as the best Microsoft OS ever made. I agree completely with the comment from the senior test analyst below the article...

"After all the rather buggy versions of Windows since the very first edition (that was 3.0, I believe), Windows XP was a pleasant surprise. "Microsoft finally got it right," was my thinking. Well almost."

It was definitely "close enough for government work" and I will make sure I find every loophole available so I can continue using XP on our corporate network.
